Using the resources of Music-In-Print is done in generally one of two ways. Either you are:
- looking for something you already know exists and need purchasing information (publisher contact, edition number, etc), or you are
- conducting a survey of the literature looking to discover unfamiliar works.
Each of these search types require different methods of searching the extensive Music-In-Print database. This tutorial will attempt to provide you with a working knowledge of effective searching in either case. Please keep in mind that using Music-In-Print - as using other online search engines - requires a learning curve to learn how to best word search criteria.
